Salvation Army Looking for People to Man Kettles
With the Christmas season right around the corner, The Salvation Army is once again looking for volunteers to ring bells at red kettle locations in Quincy, Hannibal, and the surrounding area.
Volunteers can sign up online at www.ringbells.org for shifts as short as two hours, or they can “Adopt-A-Kettle” for a day using the same website.
In addition to volunteer positions, paid positions are also available this season. Paid positions are considered part-time, temporary, and applicants must be available from the “First Day of Kettles” starting Friday, November 10 and lasting through December 23. Applications for these positions are available at the Kroc Center Welcome Desk, located at 405 Vermont Street in Quincy. Applications are also available at The Salvation Army Family Store in Hannibal, located at 302 Broadway.
The bell ringing season begins on Friday, November 10 and will end Saturday, December 23. The hours for bell ringing are Monday through Friday 11am - 8pm and Saturdays 9am - 7pm. Gather your friends and family to help your fellow man this Christmas season by “Doing the Most Good” with The Salvation Army.
