7 Items You Can’t Give to a Missouri Salvation Army Thrift Store
I've always known Missouri Salvation Army Thrift Stores to accept and appreciate many different items, but there are 7 things you can't give them anytime ever. One of those items is a bit of a surprise.
This topic came up as my family had an item we wanted to donate to a Missouri Salvation Army Thrift Store, but we weren't sure if it was acceptable. That led me to the official Salvation Army Thrift Store Frequently Asked Questions site. Here are the 7 things they cannot accept. Some seem obvious, but others are not.

The one surprise on their list was TV's that are 5 or more years old. I had no idea those were not accepted, but I understand why. Once a TV tube gets enough wear, it can become unreliable and I suppose you wouldn't want to let a TV go out the door and then fail for whoever ended up with it.
Of all the organizations that do great work in Missouri communities, the Salvation Army is among the best. That's one reason why they were the first place I thought of when I knew we'd have a donation possibility.
If you have questions about what they accept (or don't), check out their official Salvation Army Thrift Store page.
