‘Load The Lobby’ Begins Monday With Some Changes
The 12th annual Load the Lobby campaign will officially get underway this Monday morning and will run through 9 a.m. December 11. Like everything else this year there are a few changes in what we can accept.
The major change is we no longer will be able to accept used toys as we have in the past thanks to COVID-19 guidelines. So we are asking that you help us Load the Lobby with brand new toys only or drop off a check to purchase toys for the less fortunate children in the area.
Our lobby is located at 24th and Broadway behind the Coach House Restaurant and all toys and checks will be turned over to the Salvation Army for their Toy Town Distribution in December.
As a parent, the process of teaching your children is an everyday occurrence. Load the Lobby is a teaching opportunity parents have right now to make this a very special Christmas for their own children.
Making children understand that there are less fortunate kids out there and that Christmas depends on the generosity of you and your children is a wonderful lesson to be learned at Christmas time. This is the essence of Y101 and KICK-FM’s Load the Lobby campaign.
So why not let your children pick out that brand new toy and drop it off at the radio station?
The lobby in Quincy will be open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. through 9 a.m. December 10. All collected new toys will then be transported to the Salvation Army on the morning of December 11.
Enjoy your holiday season and let us all count our blessings for all the things we have, because there are many in our community who don’t.
