It's that time of year where we need your help to load our lobby to help children in our area.

We are once again teaming up with the Salvation Army and Toys for Tots to Load Our Lobby with new unwrapped toys for children this holiday season. Due to COVID, we are unable to collect gently used toys, but still, need your help with new unwrapped toys for ages 0 and up. Within the age groups, toys for 0 - 3 and teens are the most needed every year.

Some ideas for teens could be brand new makeup, straighteners, or curling irons for the girls and STEM projects, and either a football, soccer ball or basketball for the guys. Infants are in need as well, books, teething toys and stuff animals (all stuffed animals must have a store tag on them in order to be accepted) would work for that age group. We also have a box in our lobby for a monetary donation if you want to make a contribution to the cause, but don't know what to buy. Remember, there could be a toy shortage this year so if you would like to donate, make sure you get that toy early and don't wait.

You can drop off your donation at 408 N. 24th Street (behind the Coach House) in Quincy Monday - Friday from 7 am - 4 pm. If you can't make it to our lobby, but want to donate either a toy or money please call Charlie Ledbetter at 217-242-8240 and he will be more than happy to pick up your donation. I am always impressed by the way our community helps Toys for Tots and the Salvation Army make sure that every child has a present to open on Christmas morning.

We will collect toys until December 17.
