Help Make A Child’s Christmas Special with the Angel Tree Program

The Salvational Army is changing things a little this holiday season with its new Angel Tree Program.

In previous years, toys were collected for the Salvation Army's Toy Town where parents/guardians would shop for their children. This year a new program allows people to do the shopping for the needs and wishes of those in need this holiday season.

You can now stop by the Townsquare Media office at 408 N. 24th Street in Quincy and grab a tag. You will see what is needed for that child this holiday season on the label. There are different ages, boys or girls, and sizes for clothes. Gifts purchased for the program must be delivered back to the Townsquare Media office unwrapped by December 12.

Those signed up for the Angel Tree Program will also receive a food box filled with various items for a Christmas meal. Gifts purchased for the program must be delivered to The Kroc Center for distribution day by December 19. This program is a great way to get the whole family involved to teach what it's like to give back. Get the kids involved to pick out toys and clothes, teenagers who know what the hot new trend is, and just the fact that you are helping a child have a Merry Christmas is a gift in itself.
