Kyhill Girl on YouTube just shared a brief video showing several cast members of The Waltons who gathered in Macon, Missouri last Saturday. Here's her backstory from the YouTube share:

October 1,2022 The Waltons tv show 50 th reunion meeting the cast . Kami Colter , Rachel Longaker, Eric Scott, Jon Walmsley , Mary McDonough , Leslie Winston at Macon Missouri

It's amazing I could still recognize these actors from the characters they portrayed back in the 1970's. Kami Colter played Elizabeth Walton. Rachel Longaker was featured on the episode "Three Little Fishes" on The Waltons. Eric Scott played Ben Walton. Jon Walmsley was Jason Walton. Mary Beth McDonough was Erin Walton. Leslie Winston played Cindy, the wife of Ben Walton.

I was rather young when The Waltons debuted in 1972. Much of my childhood was spent watching this iconic theme play on our family TV where my father would use me as the remote control (before they were invented) instructing me to change the channel when needed. Good times, good times.

The story of The Waltons was told through the eyes of John-Boy Walton who was a writer growing up during The Great Depression. Like the Brady Bunch, the cast members grew up before our eyes until the last show aired in 1981.

Goodnight, John-Boy. Goodnight, Mary Ellen. Goodbye to a different era on television and in America.
