If the internet is right, the best bakery in Missouri is located in a general store just off Highway 36 in Macon. Let's see if the talking heads on the net are right about this one.

Many of us grew up watching The Waltons. 50 years after the show debuted on television, several cast members reunited for an event in Macon, Missouri this past weekend.

I don't recommend you do what I just did. I just completed an adventure where I've searched out some rare and often strange Missouri collectibles on Ebay and I have the pictures to prove it.

Easter is upon us and there will be Easter candy and eggs to find and enjoy. There are several Easter Egg Hunts being held in the Hannibal-Quincy area again this year. Of course, the intent of these hunts is for all of the children to have fun gathering the hidden eggs. It has nothing to do with the parents, or does it?

Get ready for an onslaught of re-openings of restaurants around the area.  It got started with the re-opening of O'Shea's Restaurant and Bar on Monday after months of renovation following a recent fire. Boogaloo's Steakhouse, formerly Jorge the Crooks has opened this week as well following interior work that includes an elevator .

Easter is behind us now but the fallout is still prevalent. The candy is still around and even some hidden eggs are still out there if you really want to search. What a great community we live in.  There were several Easter Egg hunts held in the Y101 listening area.
