Don't be surprised if you see a parade of motorcycles driving through Quincy this Saturday afternoon. The River Roads Chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) has organized their annual  Christmas Toy Run to benefit The Salvation Army’s 2018 Christmas Toy Town programs in Quincy and Hannibal.

This year’s Toy Run, for both Quincy and Hannibal, will start at 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, when the riders will group at Great River Road Harley-Davidson at 52nd and Oak in Quincy. The bikes will ride in “parade formation” down Broadway to the Kroc Center at 405 Vermont.

Each rider and passenger will present a toy to Salvation Army officials for the Toy Town program, which provides toys for families in need. These Toy Runs have become a part of many HOG chapters’ community efforts world-wide and often include hundreds of motorcycles if the weather cooperates.

You just might want to keep an eye out for one particular biker as the Salvation Army's Area Commander Major Andrew Miller will be riding in the event as well this Saturday.
