Missouri Ice Cream Recalled Due to Life-Threatening Allergies

It always seems to be the most desirable food that ends up in an urgent product recall. That's the case for a vanilla ice cream product that's been sold in Missouri that could cause life-threatening allergic reactions if eaten.

The Food and Drug Administration issued a bulletin on October 12, 2023 in regards to a vanilla ice cream that contains a food that many are allergic to: Egg. The recall has been issued by the manufacturer voluntarily. It's a brand of vanilla ice cream that the FDA says was sold in Missouri Walmart stores plus Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. This is the label provided by the FDA of what to look for.

The UPC code to look for is 0-70905-48521-9. You also need to look for these "best by" dates:

• Best by 11/15/2024 - Lot 3135
• Best by 11/16/2024 - Lot 3136
• Best by 02/04/2025 - Lot 3216
