Choose Your Kid’s Name From the Map?

Last week I posted a blog about the top names for new born babies in 2012 with Aiden heading the list for the boys and Sophia for the girls.  Take a look at that blog and review the list because those names will soon be replaced  with locations.  That's right, locations. It seems that the new trend in naming babies is inspired by geography.

Let me provide a  few examples.  Recently Reese Witherspoon gave birth to a son and she named it Tennessee. U2'S Bono's daughter's name is Memphis and the soccer star Beckham has named his son Brooklyn after my hometown.

It got me to thinking about some great names that are out there for local geographic locations.  Names like Nebo, Basco, Payson, Niota, Monkey Run, Pearl, Winchester, Buckhorn and the list can go on and on. I suggest you cut and past this blog and hang onto it and see what geographic names to appear in the 2013 list.

I bet there will be one or two of them listed.  I can see it now.  Nebo Johnson, Basco Smith, Niota Jones.  It's only a matter of time or is it  matter of location.
