Back in December, Quincy University President Dr. Robert Gervasi announced plans to completely renovate historic Q.U. Stadium, the home of Q.U. Baseball and future home of Q.U. Football, with a $4 million investment by PFIC, a California based developer of facilities for colleges and universities. We thought we would give you a look at what the baseball field looks like now as work is well underway.

The renovations of both the baseball and football stadiums are slated for completion by fall of this year. Since the Quincy University Baseball Hawks home opener is set for March 17 against Northwest Missouri State University, the priority is the baseball field right now.

Renovations for QU Stadium include synthetic turf surfaces for football and baseball (infield only). The football field will also receive replaced bleachers, luxury suites, and a new press box. The project also encompasses new locker rooms, coaches’ offices, meeting rooms, and training facilities for student athletes.

For the past four seasons, QU’s football team hosted its home games at Quincy’s Flinn Stadium.
