The days of "Summer Vacation" are winding down for school children in the area and with it comes the need for purchasing school supplies for the upcoming school year. The cost of these supplies are continuing to go up like everything else. With that in mind, the "Stuff the Bus" campaign will be held this Friday and Saturday.

It is sponsored by the Quincy Walmart and by Refreshment Services Pepsi and is designed to benefit the educational needs of students in the Quincy Public School System. This Friday and Saturday people can donate school supplies by purchasing them and dropping them off in the cardboard school busses located in the entry way at Walmart.  These cardboard bus collection sites will be open from 4 to 6 p.m. this Friday (August 1) and  from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.on Saturday at the Quincy Walmart.

Items needed are notebooks, pens, paper, backpacks, folders, and basically anything that a student might be needing for the school year ahead. This will go a long way to helping kids with unmet school supply needs for the classroom.
