Of all the lists you can possibly be on, this is one of the best. A Hannibal elementary school announced today they've been selected as one of the best in Missouri by a major news organization.

There's a brand new ranking of the best high schools in Missouri and only one can be the best. According to US News and World Report, this is the absolute best high school in the Show Me State.

It's not exactly breaking news that I'm not a genius so I cast no stones against a small town in Illinois that was just declared one of the top 5 dumbest in America. Where did I put that dunce cap anyway?

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Hannibal High School. It's where I graduated from many many moons ago and it's just jumped into the top 75 list for all Missouri high schools and that's quite an accomplishment.

For 75 years, this Missouri school was known for education of young people. As it now sits abandoned for 40 years, it will sadly be known for something else. It was the scene of 4 senseless murders - with a hammer.
