I think I've driven through this Illinois city a few times and no one was ever snobby to me. But, the internet has declared that the same township in the Land of Lincoln that once famously left Kevin 'Home Alone' is indeed where all the snobs live.

For the record, I am not calling the people in this quaint Illinois town "snobs" since I've never met most of them. However, there apparently is a reputation for snobbery there based on a recent ranking by Roadsnacks. They claim that the same town that has this famous movie house is too snobby for its own good.

Look familiar? Yes, this is the real Home Alone house in Winnetka, Illinois - also now known as the snobbiest town in Illinois - allegedly. What makes Winnetka so snobby? Roadsnacks says "expensive homes, high incomes, and overly educated populations" all ding the snobby bell.

In a bit of irony, the people that now own the Home Alone house don't seem too fond of all the visitors they get based on what people say on Trip Advisor. Who can blame them I suppose, but it does seem a little snobby to not want others around, no?

Do I think the people of Winnetka, Illinois are snobby? I have no clue, but I do think this is nothing but envy of those who have found financial success in life from those who haven't maybe? It seems like holding someone's wealth against them and declaring them snobby just seems a bit unfair to me.
