There are few experiences more enjoyable that exploring the more remote parts of Missouri. However, sometimes you see and experience things you cannot understand. That happened to one Missouri turkey hunter who could not believe his eyes when something appeared on a remote road in front of him that he still can't explain.

Say what you want about some of these stories shared by Missouri natives, but you have to at least respect a man who's willing to put his name and face to a tale. Larry was just visited by Missouri YouTube channel Sasquatch Theory who he shared his encounter with.

As Larry shared, he was turkey hunting in 2004 near the Big Piney River in Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri when something appeared without warning in front of him.

Larry - "I was out here turkey hunting the last Tuesday of turkey season here in Mark Twain National Forest...followed a path back off into the woods...got maybe 2 to 300 yards from my truck...that's when I saw Bigfoot...it actually stepped across the road...I never heard it coming until I saw it...I froze in my tracks...he stood behind a tree and shook another tree right next to it."

It was at that point that Larry knew he needed to get back to his truck. He says that as he moved through the woods, he could hear the creature following him. He couldn't see it, but whatever it was wanted to make sure he left that part of the woods.

Larry - "I believe it was trying to keep me from something...what?...I don't know...that would be the scary part".

He said the creature was approximately 100 yards in front of him and had an ape-shaped head, dark brown in color and around 7 1/2 feet tall.

What did Larry encounter during that Missouri turkey hunt? Whatever it was has been seen by many others in the Big Piney River part of Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri. His is just one of the many stories of...something...that lives in those woods.
