5 Types of People That Should Consider Leaving Missouri ASAP

Missouri isn't a state for everyone. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm convinced there are at least 5 types of people that should really consider leaving Missouri as soon as possible or not come here in the first place.

I won't assume you know me. I've mentioned before that I was born and raised in Missouri, but perhaps you're new here. No worries if that's the case. I'm a welcoming type of person or at least I hope I am. That being said, here are 5 types of people I'm convinced should really start packing the boxes if they currently find themselves residing in the Show Me State.

There are very few certainties in life, but this is one of them. Missouri isn't changing. No way, no how. If you don't like the state today, don't expect Missouri to become a ray of sunshine for you tomorrow. Not gonna happen.

Missouri is a great state for entrepreneurs. If you have a lot of get up and go, you can do great things here. If, however, you're someone that needs a cheering section to get motivated every day, look elsewhere. Toughen up, buttercup or get that moving truck loaded.

I haven't stuck my head in the sand regarding human beings doing things to damage the Earth. We, as a species, sometimes aren't good stewards of our land. But, if you're the type of person wants to blame every wrong in your life on carbon emissions, you almost certainly won't be happy in Missouri and especially in St. Louis. Have you seen the air over the big city lately?

If you live the glamourous life of social media and demand that everyone adore the toast you made for breakfast this morning, I predict you won't enjoy hanging out with folks like me and Roy and all the other blue-collar Missouri workers who really do not care how many necklaces your cat wears.

I had a friend once that came to Missouri to "help" us understand how to market ourselves better to the outside world. He moved back to where he came from years ago after receiving enough blank stares from me and my friends who didn't ask for advice on how to change. I know you might be well-intended, but if you think you're gonna come to Missouri to convert us to your way of thinking, save yourself a lot of money on those packing containers and stay where you are.
