Why Many Missouri Geniuses Put Toothbrushes in Their Dishwasher
It really does make a lot of sense when you think about it. I've found a genius hack that has inspired many in Missouri to regularly put toothbrushes in their dishwasher. It's a very good idea that I wish I had thought of first.
Why in the world would any reasonable Missourian put toothbrushes in a dishwasher? I would ask the reverse. How can you not put toothbrushes in your dishwasher?
First, I can confirm through a helpful tip article on Reader's Digest that it's safe to put toothbrushes in your dishwasher assuming you have a compartment that will hold them inside. As long as your toothbrushes are not in danger of becoming dislodged and falling down to the heating element, it's fine.
Why are so many in Missouri doing this?
The CDC says that most toothbrushes contain upward of 100 million harmful viruses after periods of normal use. Ew. Regularly placing them in the dishwasher for a cycle will rid the tool you use to clean your teeth of these nasty bugs. WebMD also recommends this method of cleaning your toothbrush.
There's one other thing to add. If you'd like to join the throngs in Missouri that have embraced this hack, don't forget to put your toothbrush holder in the dishwasher, too. It does little good to clean the toothbrush then put it back in the nasty holder that also harbors all of those viruses and bacteria.
It's a simple life hack that's easy and can also protect your health. Brilliant.
