You really need to be careful about making plans or any big decisions based on computer models for weather. That being said, I'll tell you that there is a computer model that right now points to a possible snow surprise for Missouri on the day after Thanksgiving aka Black Friday.

I want to be clear from the start that this map is very changeable

This is what the GFS computer model from Pivotal Weather shows is possible for Friday, November 28, 2025. Notice that the big splotch of blue is snow over much of Missouri. Don't panic, though. Even if this happens, the GFS is only showing an inch or maybe even less of snow blanketing a majority of Missouri. My wife (aka the smart one in my relationship) who's a meteorologist warned me that models like this really aren't meant to forecast amounts. She also warned that the European model does NOT agree with what the GFS is showing.

I was very close to not sharing this because this snow possibility for Missouri for the day after Thanksgiving is one big maybe. I think it's worth being aware that one of the biggest travel days of the year COULD (not will) have slightly slick roads either late Thanksgiving night or early Black Friday morning. Again I emphasize, DO NOT make any big plans around what this model shows. Only know that it's possible. Pay attention to National Weather Service forecasts closer to Thanksgiving Day to see what the real weather will end up being. Let's hope this is just a one-off computer glitch.
