When you look at a map of Illinois, you won't find any place that is technically a place to live that has fewer residents than here. Wikipedia confirms that Valley City, Illinois is "the smallest incorporated place in Illinois in terms of population".

As of the US Census just over 20 years ago, Valley City is made up of "14 people, 4 households, and 3 families in the village". Valley City isn't a big place to say the least as Wikipedia measures it as "a total area of 0.212 square miles" and part of that is water.

If you're new to Pike County, Illinois somehow, Valley City is a village located just to the east of Griggsville and just a hop, skip and a jump from the Illinois River.

There's not much to Valley City, Illinois, but in this case size certainly does not matter as those that live there can enjoy a type of life you'll never find in a metro like Chicago and we wouldn't want it any other way.
