On Thursday, Nov. 19, the Nutrition Center is hosting its annual Thanksgiving meal. Prices are just $7 dollars for people under age 60. People over 60 are asked to pay $5. Hours are from 11:15 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.  The menu is the traditional turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, homemade rolls and dessert.

Typically, the Hannibal Nutrition Center throws open its doors and invites everyone to share a Thanksgiving meal. The covid pandemic has forced the HNC to pack the meals to go at its location at 219 S. 10th St. You’ll enter the lot on Church St. and follow the signs.

The HNC has been closed to on-site dining since the pandemic started this spring. Its ability to fundraise has been severely limited. This has coincided with even greater need than usual for area senior citizens. Any additional donations for the Thanksgiving dinner will help out the home-delivered Meals on Wheels program.
