The biggest party of the year is coming back to New London for 2021 and the community plans to celebrate in a big way.

New London Park Days is a two-day festival that runs from June 4 through June 5, right on the historic Ralls County Courthouse lawn and the area surrounding it. The festival features music, food, arts and crafts festival. There will be a parade, carnival rides, and family games. Other activities include a 5k run/walk, classic car cruise, baby contest, cornhole tournament, kid’s corner, and a beer garden for adults.

New London Park Days is put on by a non-profit group of the same name. They are the biggest supporters and cheerleaders of New London.  From their website:

“We are a non-profit organization who takes pride in community, small business and promoting awareness to those who have yet to experience the charms that the town of New London has to offer. We are your neighbors, friends, family members, co-workers, volunteers...New London citizens past and present. Many people and many things make up the organization that is New London Park Days but the element that holds true is that we are just your average men and women, who through volunteering our time and efforts want to see the town of New London prosper and thrive. One thing is for sure, we may become adults and move away, but New London is always home. Our friendly, small town charm will woo you and make you feel right at home.  The overwhelming support from many different areas saw a vision become a reality and surpass all that anyone could have imagined.”

The group also sponsors Trivia Night, Breakfast with Santa, Adopt a Family for Christmas, and an Easter Egg Hunt. They also provide two college scholarships for graduates of Mark Twain High School.  and the offering of scholarships to two worthy Mark Twain High School students.  In the past we have also offered Quarter Madness and held a Softball Tournament.
