Have you seen any planes over Missouri lately that looked like they were military planes, but not United States Air Force aircraft? If so, you're not alone as many are mystified about why foreign military planes would be in our skies, but I know what's going on here.

I saw this post on the Missouri sub-Reddit asking the question "Anyone have info about this?" and it's a question about a very hi-tech aircraft spotted southwest of the St. Louis area.

Anyone have info about this?

Several commenters on the Missouri sub-Reddit explained what I'm about to. The plane is an F-15QA which is truly a military aircraft for Qatar I believe, but it's manufactured in St. Louis and the planes you're seeing are test flights.

They are combat-ready planes that are more or less the equivalent of American F-15 Strike Eagles minus some of the classified tech our military possesses.

It's really odd when you DON'T see miliary planes over Missouri as test flights of those manufactured in the St. Louis area happen all the time. We really do live in one of the most interesting parts of America if you're a fan of military aircraft - both those flown by America's finest and those which will be put into action overseas.
