This is happening almost without notice, but I can prove it's a fact. There are numerous earthquakes that keep happening next to a tiny Missouri airport and I'd love to know why.

I fully realize that I'm asking a question that cannot be answered. I wish it were possible for the New Madrid Seismic Zone to let me know why it has decided to position tremors right next to this airport located just a couple miles north of Marston, Missouri. According to the USGS, there was another 2.5 magnitude quake that just happened in this same Missouri place today.

That makes the 3rd earthquake in the past couple of weeks confirmed by the USGS in the field next to this small Missouri county airport. You can see that someone reported to the USGS that they felt it, too. Probably the caretaker of the airport.

There was an earthquake in this exact spot on April 9, 2025 and another one on April 30, 2025. I would love to know why, but I realize I'm not going to get a solid answer. I realize that tiny Marston, Missouri is in the Missouri boot heel area of the state which is the same place that the historic magnitude 7 & 8 quakes happened in late 1811 and early 1812. I understand that this is one of the most seismically-active places in America, but it's the proximity to this Missouri county airport that has me baffled.

Some mysteries are just not meant to be solved I suppose, but it doesn't stop me from wondering.
