After 54 Years, Popular Chewing Gum Not Available in Missouri Now
It's the end of an era that lasted more than a half century. After 54 years of being available in just about every Missouri checkout aisle known to man, a popular chewing gum is saying goodbye.

I can honestly say this chewing gum was a part of my childhood. While I collected baseball cards as a kid in Missouri, I would never chew the disgusting gum that came with them. Instead, I would grab a pack of this chewing gum that has reportedly gone away.
The Today Show shared the news of Fruit Stripe chewing gum being discontinued. (*sad face*). Remember this commercial?
I'm not the only one sad about this end of an era as many mourned on X, too.
The Today Show quoted a representative from the company that now owns Fruit Stripe gum saying "The decision to sunset this product was not taken lightly, and we considered many factors before coming to this decision, including consumer preferences, and purchasing patterns".
This is another instance where something that was a part of my childhood is now about to fade into nothing but memories.
