I love everything about America's pastime, but as I hear of the staggering numbers some of the game's superstars are making, I shake my head in disbelief. Bryce Harper recently signed a 13-year contract worth $330-million with the Philadelphia Phillies. Prior to that signing, Manny Machado inked a 10-year $300-million deal with the San Diego Padres and the Colorado Rockies managed to hold onto their starting third-baseman Nolan Arenado, but it cost them $260-million over 8 years to do so.
