It's good to know now so you're aren't surprised if this day arrives and you suddenly cannot shop at a nearby Wisconsin Walmart store. Let's face it. Many of us do rely on some of these big box stores that are almost always open. You need to know that soon all Wisconsin Walmart stores will close on the same day.

This universal closing of all Wisconsin Walmart stores was recently revealed in a press release from Walmart's corporate office announcing their holiday plans for the upcoming season. They have made the decision again to NOT be open on Thanksgiving Day. Walmart began closing on Thanksgiving Day back during the challenging year of 2020 and will continue this new tradition so employees can spend the day with their families.

Walmart also announced that they will again team up with the Salvation Army for their red kettle events during the holiday season. According to the numbers shared in the press release, they helped raise $34 million dollars to help the less fortunate last year.

Walmart will have Black Friday specials the day after Thanksgiving and already has some special online savings for their Plus shoppers that began October 8.

Now's a good time to make a mental note that if you need last minute things on Thanksgiving Day, you're out of luck if Walmart was your go-to place. They and their families will not be working and I consider that a very good thing.
