The Red, White and Back the Blue Festival is Saturday
Washington Park in downtown Quincy will be the scene of the 2nd Annual Red White & Back the Blue Festival to honor local firefighters, law enforcement, ambulance and other first responders. The Festival will take place this Saturday (July 21) beginning at 2 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Displays and demonstrations will start at 2 p.m. including a K-9 police dog demonstration by the Quincy Police Department and the Quincy Fire Department will have their "Smoke House" for the kids and a burn demonstration as well.
The Washington Park fountain will also be operating for the kids to play in as. There will also be live music in the afternoon, Jim Percy will do a magic show at 4 p.m., and Quincy band Pepper Spray will play from 7 to 10 p.m. The new Red, White and Back the Blue T-Shirt orders will also be available for those who would like to order one.
Hy-Vee will be serving food free to all first responders and their families and will also provide food for sale for all others who attend.
