The Heat is On, But Hannibal’s Down By the River is Prepared

The mercury is busting out the top of the thermometer, but the Hannibal Y Men's Club is hoping to cool the crowds at Down By the River this Friday, July 19.  The group is bringing in misting fans and powerful standard fans to offer some comfort in the steamy conditions. Tents will be set up to provide shade.The gates at the Y Men's Pavilion in downtown Hannibal open at 5:00 p.m. with the band ELEVEN playing from 6:00 until !0:00.  There's a $5 cover charge, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Hannibal Nutrition Center.  There are a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks available.

ELEVEN is an '80's rock band based in Quincy.  They play classic songs from groups like Styx, Bon Jovi, Heart, and Journey.
