One last hurrah for Hannibal’s DBTR

Down By the River makes an encore performance tonight for the last Y Men's concert of the 2020 season. The popular band Dr. Zhivegas takes the stage at the Y Men's Pavilion in downtown Hannibal tonight, Friday, Sept. 25.

The Y Men's Club is expecting a big turnout tonight with the weather cooperating nicely. The last concert of the season generally brings out large crowds. Even though the event is outdoors, the club is asking that you wear a mask at the concert and do your best to social distance. They will be serving drinks in souvenir cups and will give you a new cup for each drink to try to keep things safer for those who attend. You may also want to bring a lawn chair.

The gates open at 5:00 p.m. with the band taking the stage at around 6:00. The gates close at 10:00 p.m. Dr. Zhivegas plays a rock mix of original and cover music from the past and today. The Hannibal Knights of Columbus council is serving pulled pork sandwiches at the pavilion.

The Y Men's Club is affiliated with the Hannibal YMCA. The money from drink sales and the cover charge will benefit the YMCA.
