See Inside an Off-the-Grid Treehouse Hidden Away in Rural Nauvoo
Want to get away from it all, but not have to get that far away? I found a crazy cool treehouse that's hidden away in rural Nauvoo that is as off-the-grid as you can get.
This place is called the Captains Quarters hosted by Robert on Airbnb. If you love a sea-themed vibe in the trees, you will love this. Here's how he describes it on the Airbnb listing:
Upon entering you are treated to the huge map of the world as you look up in the 13' vaulted entryway. A small window seat area with a small collection of old books to explore! The wrap around deck with gas grill provides a laid back environment to enjoy the panoramic views of the surrounding forest! The 2nd floor bedroom includes 10' vaulted ceiling which provides plenty of Windows for 360 degree views of the forest from the comfort of the queen sized bed, step out on the balcony which features a whimsical "outhouse" with year round compost toilet and a outdoor hot water shower nearly 30' off the ground!
He's not kidding. The shower is way up there.
