Illinois River Place Ranked Among Most Slow-Paced Towns in State
As the years go by, I have come to appreciate places where live doesn't move by very fast. There's one river town in Illinois that has just been ranked among the most slow-paced towns in the state and that's a very good thing.
In this era where technology seems to make everything happen at lightning speed, it was refreshing to see a new ranking by World Atlas which named the 11 most slow-paced towns to visit in Illinois. Even before I looked at the details, I knew one Illinois town would be included and I was right.
Congratulations to Nauvoo, Illinois, one of the slowest-paced places in the state.
I've adventured in and around Nauvoo over the years and to say time seems to stand still there is an understatement and it's not just the many historic buildings there either. There's just a general slow vibe that is present no matter where you're at in Nauvoo. The fact that you have beautiful Mississippi River views in many parts of the town are one of the reasons why, too.
Galena also ended up on this slow-paced Illinois list which also isn't surprising, but how did you get on there, Macomb? Asking for a friend.
