Security Cam Video Shows Fireball Seen By Hundreds Over Illinois

One of the most brilliant fireballs of 2023 so far was spotted over Illinois and many other states early Thursday morning and the event was captured by security camera video.

According to the American Meteor Society, this meteor exploded over Illinois at approximately 1:55am Central Time on Thursday, November 16, 2023. Multiple residents in Illinois reported seeing it along with 9 other states and even a province in Canada.

As of this writing, there are 153 reported sightings of this meteor making it one of the most visible fireball events in 2023 so far.
