The Optimist Club of Quincy, Illinois is holding the 14th Annual Soap Box Derby in Quincy on Friday, June 15 and Saturday, June 16 at Bob Mays Park in Quincy. On Friday the Super Kids Derby will be held for kids with special needs at 10 a.m. and then on Saturday the Derby will be held beginning at 8 a.m.

Registration is currently underway now for your youngster between the ages of 7 and 17 and weighing less than 125 pounds to drive his or her own Soap Box Derby car.

Meanwhile, Y101 Radio has a car entered but no driver. So if your child is between the ages of 7 and 17 and weighs under 125 pounds and wants to be the driver of the Y101 car, register him or her at www.Y101radio.com beginning May 21st. Registration to drive the Y101  Radio car ends on June 1 at 12 noon with the drawing taking place on Monday, June 4th at 7:30 on Y101.
