Quincy’s Soap Box Derby Has Room To Grow

The Soap Box Derby has been in Quincy for nine years, and it continues to grow!

Ray Wilson is entering his third year as race director and he would like to see the race evolve into a more community event. Maybe a bicycle event or a 5K run/walk.

From the start, the Quincy Soap Box Derby has raised money for kids with cancer and helped families in time of need.This past year's derby raised $6,000 toward the Breakfast Optimist Club's cancer fund for children. The 2013 Soap Box Derby in Quincy was the most successful one yet.
