This is another one of those days when I wish I were Batman so I could swoop down and knock the living daylights out of the villains that come up with these schemes to rob innocent people. There's a new twist in the USPS text scam that continues to rob many in Missouri.

I just got this text message again today and noticed the bad guys have made a change to the fake alert that tries to convince me that there's a package the USPS needs to be delivered to my home.

If you look at the link in the text, you'll now see that their previous link that law enforcement had determined was malicious has now been replaced by a tiny URL which hides where you'll be redirected to if you tap that link.

If you follow that link and provide your personal information that will be asked for, you will be robbed. Many in Missouri have already fallen victim to this scam and this new approach is likely to be successful, too, unfortunately.

If you receive this text, do not tap any links provided. The United States Postal Inspector's Office welcomes reports if you've become a victim of it. You can even escalate this to the FTC and FBI if you have additional concerns.
