What started as a standard DOT inspection ended with two men being charged with felonies after the truck they were driving from Missouri was stopped in Indiana filled with $7 million dollars in cocaine.

Matt Ames from the Indiana State Police shared this stunning photo of $7 million dollars worth of cocaine that was seized in a routine Department of Transportation inspection. When criminal behavior was detected and confirmed by a Indiana State Police K9 officer, a probable cause search found all this.

The text of the status update from the Indiana State Police says this truck left Joplin, Missouri and was traveling east into Indiana when it was stopped. Here are the names of the two truck occupants and their charges:

  • Gurpreet Singh, age 25, Fresno, CA - Dealing Narcotics, Level 2 Felony
  • Jasveer Singh, age 30, Santa Clara, CA - Dealing Narcotics, Level 2 Felony

The Indiana State Police emphasized that "all criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law".
