Missouri’s Richest Woman Leads Global Food Empire
I have no doubt that most of us are happy when our bank account has more money in it than bills coming out of it. There's one woman in Missouri that does not have these worries as she is the state's wealthiest lady, but the richest were created by doing the hard work required to build and sustain a global food empire.
Most have likely never heard of Missouri's wealthiest woman
According to Forbes latest billionaire's list which is updated in real time, Pauline MacMillan Keinath is currently worth a staggering $8.9 billion dollars. Yes, that's "billion" with a capital B. She is a part of the family that owns Cargill, Incorporated. If you've lived in Missouri for any length of time, you likely know that Cargill is an American multinational food corporation that was founded in 1865 by William Wallace Cargill. Wikipedia says that Cargill had gross revenues of over $165 billion dollars just a few years ago. The fact that Pauline is the largest shareholder of Cargill explains why she is now the most wealthy woman in Missouri.
Pauline MacMillan Keinath has used her wealth to also help arts and education with generous contributions to museums, cultural institutions, and art foundations according to a philanthropy website. While it's easy to just be envious of someone with such exotic riches, she deserves credit for trying to do good with her money. There are many who would not be so generous if they were ever fortunate enough to be in her shoes.
