VIDEO: Massive Meteor Lights Up the Sky Over Missouri
This is one of the most spectacular meteor videos I've ever seen from space rocks that have appeared over Missouri. A backyard camera captured the moment a huge fireball exploded over a Missouri home and it looked like it was heading directly toward the camera.

He shows the meteor from several different camera angles and with several different filters. This is the first video capture that shows this meteor as it looks like it's headed directly toward his camera in Albany, Missouri.
A split second later, the meteor appears huge in the camera as it disintegrates in the atmosphere. It's one of the most brilliant meteor flashes I've seen in years from Dan's backyard camera.
According to the timestamp on Dan's video, this happened in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 8 around 12:52am. I checked the American Meteor Society site and so far there is no official report, but I expect that to change the next time it's updated. Congrats to Dan on capturing an amazing meteor moment over Missouri.
