Missouri Officials Believe ‘a Big Cat’ is Attacking Their Cattle
Something unusual is going after cattle in a Missouri county and officials believe they know what it is. They think it's "a big cat" and they have the pictures to prove it.
These vicious cattle attacks are happening in Ray County, Missouri. The sheriff there is convinced that a mountain lion is responsible and there are residents who have pictures to prove it. Fox 4 out of Kansas City spoke to the sheriff and some farmers in the area.
With the graphic parts blurred out, this is one picture they showed of a cow that had been attacked by...something. I don't know about you, but I've never known a dog that was capable of doing this to cattle.
Some farmers say these attacks have gone back years and they have pictures they've captured of what appears to be a mountain lion on their land.
You might recall that a couple months ago we shared the story of a mountain lion that crossed Nebraska and Missouri and was spotted in the Springfield, Illinois area. There was also a big cat that was struck by a vehicle in Dekalb, Illinois. Yet another big kitty cat was spotted in southeast Iowa. Could it be that northern Missouri is going to be a hunting ground for these predators as they make their way east? No way to know for sure, but something in Ray County, Missouri is on the prowl.
