Allergy Scare Hits Häagen-Dazs Fans in Missouri & Illinois
Why do product recalls always seem to impact the best-tasting food? A new alert from the federal government warns Missouri and Illinois ice cream bar fans to avoid one of the most popular brands due to a potential life-threatening allergy alert.
This is the ice cream bar box to watch out for from Häagen-Dazs
This new bulletin from the Food and Drug Administration says that many of these bars from Häagen-Dazs have undeclared wheat which might sound like a minor issue, but for those with a wheat allergy, it can create a serious health problem if consumed. The feds say these ice cream bars were available at Kroger stores in both Missouri and Illinois. Here's what you need to look for on the box according to the FDA:
"The affected product is Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Dark Chocolate Mini Bars in the 6-count package with batch code LLA519501 and a Best By date of January 31, 2027."
If you have these bars, do not consume them. You should either toss them out or return them to the Kroger store you purchased them from if you have allergy concerns. It's important to point out that no other Häagen-Dazs products are affected by this recall. If you have a product other than the chocolate dark chocolate ice cream bars, there are no worries.
