What appears to be a normal traffic stop can quickly turn into something else altogether. That was the case for the Missouri State Highway Patrol who just made a stop for a vehicle on the interstate, but it became a massive fentanyl bust.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol shared this wild story on their Facebook page today. It tells the story of a traffic stop on I-44 yesterday that became much more eventful than just a moving violation.

Imagine the trickle down effect of something like this. One traffic stop just kept 189 deadly fentanyl pills from ending up on the street and in the hands of the addicted not to mention the meth that was taken in. No matter if the driver of the vehicle was guilty of transporting and/or selling these drugs or not, these are drugs that will not make the street and that's a big victory.

Well done, Missouri State Highway Patrol.
