Doomsday Planes Seen Over Missouri After Russia Nuke Threat
This is one of those instances where timing and context are very important. Due to Missouri's geographic location, United States military planes fly over the state frequently. That's not new. However, the timing this week of new nuclear threats from Russia and the sudden appearance of "doomsday planes" over Missouri were more than a little peculiar.
What is a "doomsday plane" anyway?
There are several United States Air Force planes that have special missions designed to give the country command and control in the air if something catastrophic were to happen to commanders on the ground. There are Boeing 747-E4B, Boeing 747-E6B and also WC-135 Constant Phoenix "nuke sniffing" planes and the KC-135 Stratotanker planes which are the refueling means for stealth bombers and other "doomsday planes", too. It was the latter that was spotted by Marfoogle News over Missouri earlier this week. This happened right after Russia's former president Medvedev said “that Russia can use weapons a bomb shelter won’t protect against" as reported by News Nation. The last time these planes were spotted over Missouri was just prior to the bombing of Iran by stealth bombers from Whiteman Air Force Base.
Now, let's focus on the context of why these planes were likely in the air and why you shouldn't worry about it
Even during times of relative peace, the US Air Force keeps a "doomsday plane" in the air as a precaution. Yes, it's potentially alarming to have a "doomsday plane" and refueling presence over Missouri right after saber-rattling by Russia, but it's likely just coincidence. I've seen many mentioning the rare meeting this week of all the generals at Quantico and I'll admit that's odd, too. It's just a bit premature to draw "doomsday" conclusions when we don't really know what's happening behind closed doors.
