Local Gymnasts Advancing to State Competition
Several local gymnasts from Gem City Gymnastics and Tumbling in Quincy, have qualified for and are advancing to State Competition in Bloomington and Dekalb in March. The Level 4 and Level 5 gymnasts will compete on March 9-11 at Redbird Arena on the campus of Illinois State University in Bloomington. The gymnasts each qualified by earning an all-around score of 34.0 or higher throughout the regular season.
The Level 4 gymnasts advancing to State are:

Lila Winking, 9, Quincy
Gabi Cissna, 11, Palmyra
Samaya Dean, 12, Hannibal

Alaina Bange, 11, Quincy

Level 5's advancing to State:
Kielyn Ott, 11, Canton
Anna Venvertloh, 11, Quincy
Ayanna Douglas, 10, Quincy
Sofia Eleazarraraz, 10, Clarence
The following Level 8 gymnasts from Gem City Gymnastics and Tumbling in Quincy, have qualified for and are advancing to State Competition March 23-25 in DeKalb, Illinois. The gymnasts each qualified by earning an all-around score of 34.50 or higher.

Gem City Gymnastics and Tumbling teams attended eight invitational meets this season beginning in October of 2017 with their last competition held last weekend. Congratulations to all of the gymnasts and their coaches who include Jacob Huff, Hope Huff, Kiki Backoff and Damon Wilson.
