The most beautiful mansion in Illinois has allegedly been found and I don't disagree that it's got tons of character. However, is it just me or does it look a little bit like the Norman Bate's house in Psycho?

This is the David Davis Mansion in Bloomington, Illinois. It's a Victorian mansion with tons of history. The Illinois Historic Preservation Division says this home was built in 1872. David Davis was the Judge of Illinois’ Eighth Judicial Circuit when Abraham Lincoln was an attorney. Like I said, tons of history in this Illinois home, but it bears more than a little resemblance to another infamous home.

What home does the David Davis Home look like?

Answer: The house in the movie "Psycho". Norman Bates and his mother would feel right at home here. Am I saying that this home is full of serial killers? Of course not. It's simply an architectural Doppelgänger.

It's a cool honor for a more than century and a half old mansion in Bloomington, Illinois. Just don't expect me to visit this wonderful Victorian building at night.
