32 Illinois Hospitals Rated a Perfect A Grade for Patient Safety

Perfection is nearly impossible to achieve, but when it comes to patient safety, 32 Illinois hospitals received the highest grade you can get.

It will not shock you to learn that my "Doc" nickname does not include any real medical training. I do appreciate the real medical professionals that have the ultimate task - keeping us all healthy. When it comes to patient safety in Illinois, Hospital Safety Grade is the authority as they issue new ratings several times per year.

They rated nearly every hospital in Illinois on how they deal with infections of all types. MRSA, blood infection and incidents with infections as a result of a medical procedure. Only 32 Illinois hospitals received an A grade. Here they are.

I would never use an internet list like this to make a serious decision about who cares for me or my family and I don't recommend that you do it either. The Hospital Safety Grade list is a helpful jumping off point for beginning your own research. Deciding who and where you trust your health to is a decision no one else should make for you.
