The Joplin Spook Light is such a well-known phenomenon in the Joplin, Missouri area it's even officially described on the city's website. According to their site, the Joplin Spook Light was reportedly seen by Native Americans on the Trail of Tears in Oklahoma heading toward Missouri in 1836. The first "official" report in a publication was in 1881.

It appears as a light or lights in the distance. The Boozy Bros YouTube channel decided to use science to debunk this legend, but they ended up with a completely different result than they expected. Their theory seemed to be it must be vehicle lights in the distance and they were planning to replicate that by having one of their team go down the road and shine a light to show that's all it was.

The lights appeared in the distance as the legend says they would. It's what happened next that they didn't expect. Their friend's light appeared completely different than the original lights and then he started hearing voices in the woods. A constant murmuring.

The team also noticed that the lights would change size and color. They realized that they were NOT dealing with headlights. This was something else entirely.

NOTE: plenty of NSFW language.

Not to spoil the ending because their investigation is more than worth watching, but they concluded this mystery would remain unresolved because they couldn't come up with a scientific explanation about what they and others have witnessed. The Joplin Spook Light legend lives on...
