It's a good thing that water is tested frequently in Missouri. The one thing you don't want to deal with is a nasty illness due to contamination. That's why it's important for two different places in Missouri to be on the alert that they now have urgent boil orders due to hazards found.

The Missouri Department of Natural Resources just updated their report of current boil water orders yesterday to include two new places where fecal coliform/e. coli was detected. Here are the 2 Missouri locations provided:

The good news is these boil orders normally only are advised for up to 48 hours unless unusual circumstances are present.

E. Coli is not something I would wish on my worst enemy. Symptoms can include "diarrhea, urinary tract infections, pneumonia, sepsis, and other illnesses".

It's easy to miss these Missouri alerts about unclean water sources. That's why it's a good idea to check in on the Missouri Department of Natural Resources boil order page every now and then to make sure you're not in an area where tests show problems.
