I don't think I've ever seen a toy that has been connected to as many hospital emergencies and fatalities as this one. An urgent recall of a toy sold in Missouri has been issued after more than 2,400 have been hospitalized and 7 children lost their lives.

The United States Consumer Product and Safety Commission just shared this urgent bulletin about a toy that was widely available at many Walmart stores in Missouri. It's an unusual toy that was sold as building blocks.

This staggering statistic was shared by the USCPSC in regards to this recall:

CPSC estimates 2,400 magnet ingestions were treated in hospital emergency departments from 2017 through 2021. CPSC is aware of seven deaths involving the ingestion of hazardous magnets

These magnets were reportedly sold thru Walmart and available in Missouri from February 2022 through April 2023.
