According to WalletHub, the most sinful city in Missouri this year is St. Louis. St. Louis finished 11th on the list of the most sinful cities in America in 2023, beating out Kansas City, which finished 50th. Las Vegas finished atop the list followed by Houston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Atlanta rounding out the top five most sinful cities.

How did WalletHub determine the most sinful cities? On their site, they say...

"Gambling addiction, for instance, leads to over $100 billion in losses for U.S. consumers every year, while smoking burns an over $600 billion hole in Uncle Sam’s wallet annually...To identify the darkest corners of America, WalletHub compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 37 key indicators of vices and illicit behavior. Our data set ranges from violent crimes per capita to excessive drinking and adult entertainment establishments per capita."

St. Louis finished 3rd in the Excesses and Vices category, and 5th in the Anger & Hatred category, the one category St. Louis didn't have a high ranking in was the greed ranking, St. Louis ranked 79th in Greed. St. Louis is ranked higher on the list than Chicago, New York, New Orleans, and Nashville, to see the complete rankings for yourself, click here!

Do you think this is a deserved ranking for St. Louis? Sports gambling isn't even legal in Missouri, I wonder how high St. Louis will end up on the list if it ever becomes legal in the Show-Me State...
