Since 1919 Dixson's Chili Parlor has been serving up the very best chili in Independence, Missouri. According to Love Food,

The scrumptious tomato-free chili served at this storied spot has been made the same way for more than a century: by spooning carefully seasoned, slow-cooked beef over beans.

To this day, people from all over travel to Dixon's to eat some of the best chili they've ever tasted.

There are three different ways Dixon makes their famous chili; dry, soupy (with bean broth), or juicy (with meat juices) – and can be topped with a limited selection of fixins’, from jalapeño relish to ketchup. I'm not all about too spicey, but all of this sounds amazing.

Currently, the Third Generation of Dixon's are running the restaurants and are upholding the original recipe that first started when the restaurant first opened. It's so cool that the same recipes are being used in the present as they were back in 1919.
